To start or transfer electric service with EEA, please call our Customer Service Department at 970-565-4444 or 800-709-3726.

EEA is proud of our record of providing superior electric service at reasonable rates. If you are new to EEA service territory, we look forward to serving you.

Have your new address and/or forwarding mailing address ready when you come into our main office at 801 N. Broadway, Cortez, Colorado, and we'll take care of your request right away. 

Other documents required include, but are not limited to: a social security number, a U.S. Government issued identification card, and a rental agreement or a written authorization from the homeowner if leasing the property. A deposit may be required. New service and transfers are typically handled within 24 hours, but can take up to three days to process and complete.

 

Stopping Existing Service

To stop existing service, call our Customer Service Department at 970-565-4444.

A customer wishing to discontinue service should allow a minimum of three (3) days' notice to EEA, excluding weekends and holidays. This allows time for final meter reading and disconnection of service.

The customer will be liable for service until final reading is done by EEA. If you should have any questions or concerns please contact Member Services at 970-565-4444.
